Chapter 49

Chapter 49
Aaron's calm and cold voice instantly interrupted their crazy intimacy. As if a fire was put out by water, all their passion was gone as they were startled all of a sudden.
The four of them looked at one another and fell deadly silent immediately.
Marc and Rose were so unlucky to be caught making out.
But at the same time, they were lucky to escape being caught doing something crazier than kissing despite their overwhelming sexual desire and could finally preserve their last dignity.
Having recovered from the passion, Rose hurriedly smoothed her rumpled clothes while Marc put on and buttoned his shirt which had fallen to his waist calmly.
Then Aaron walked over with a cold face to pull Rose behind him before pointing to the sofa and saying to Marc, "Let's sit down and talk about it?"
Marc pushed his glasses up his nose lightly. "About what?"
He thought any talk about such a fact was unnecessary.
Aaron sneered as he looked at Marc, "Don't you think you owe me an explanation?"
Although Aaron was younger than Rose, he had a bigger voice in the family. So he was quite unfriendly to Marc now.
Marc replied after smoothing his collar, "Haven't you seen that?"
The two of them both sounded indignant.
Rose took the initiative to explain lest they would have a fight, "Aaron, we're old acquaintances, and the case isn't what you think."
"Save your explanation," Aaron continued after pausing for seconds, "I have no interest in when you met or got into bed with each other, but it's obvious that Yolanda can't live here anymore."
He paused and said, "I'll take her back."
Marc slowly crossed his arms. "Why?"
Aaron looked at Marc expressionlessly. "Would you like her to be a hindrance to you or watch you make out like that?"
Marc smiled. "I think you're just exaggerating it to get what you want?"
"I don't care what you think. Anyway, I'll take her back." Aaron also smiled.
Aware of the mounting tension between the two of them, Yolanda also tugged at Aaron's sleeves to remind him not to be so arrogant.
But Rose had sensed something else going on and frowned. "Aaron, you're just poking your nose into others' business. The relationship between Marc and me has nothing to do with Yolanda at all. Why are you insisting on taking her away?"
Aaron glanced at Rose. Before he could say something, Marc spoke first with a sneer as if to trigger a backlash, "It seems that you don't know your brother is dating my sister?"
Rose was left stunned for seconds and looked at Aaron and Yolanda in surprise. "Aren't you two..."
Rose was so shocked at such a dramatic scene. After all, Yolanda was considered Aaron's sister in her eyes, and Mary also thought so. Besides, Rose once even intended to see Yolanda as her sister, so she found no easy way to accept the fact that her brother and sister were in a relationship.
Rose found it so dramatic.
Yolanda was too embarrassed to say anything while Aaron looked rather calm. "Is there anything wrong with our relationship?"
No one answered his question. After all, Aaron was unrelated to Yolanda by blood, so there was nothing wrong with their love. As two adults who were attracted to each other, they had every right to be in a relationship.
After getting everyone's tacit approval, Aaron continued the previous topic. "Apart from leaving you two alone, another reason why I need to take her away is that she was injured today. The doctor said she needed a one-month rest, so I feel it my duty to take care of her as her boyfriend. Mr. Walter, I believe you'll agree with me on that, right?"
Hearing his words, Yolanda was left speechless, thinking, 'When did the doctor say that I need a one-month rest? The truth is I'll recover just by applying the medicine for several days, okay?'
Hearing that, Marc finally noticed Yolanda's bottoms of jeans which had been cut. He stood up and was about to have a look. "What happened? Why were you injured? Is it serious?"
Aaron didn't leave him the chance to check Yolanda's injury by instantly stopping him and giving him a look to indicate that this was his business.
Yolanda immediately said to Marc, "Brother, I'm fine."
Then she hurried to ease the tension between the two men. "I know you both are concerned about me, but why not be friendly to each other? You're just making things difficult for Rose and me."
Rose liked Yolanda very much the first time they met. Now Yolanda's relationship with Aaron made Rose even more protective of her after Rose had accepted the fact. So Rose asked Marc in confusion, "Why are you stopping them from dating?"
Marc was stunned.
Rose continued, "Why are you making things difficult for my brother?"
Marc didn't know what to say.
"Is this how you love me?"
Then the two of them began a weird and illogical debate between the two of them.
Aaron didn't even bother to listen and directly pulled Yolanda back into her room, saying, "Just take necessary things with you."
"What? Are we going now?" Yolanda was at a loss what to do with such a sudden change.
"Do you want to stay to watch them go on with the kiss?"
Yolanda said nothing.
"Or you just don't want to live with me?" Aaron paused and then said in a lower voice.
Yolanda didn't want to lie by going against her wish. Actually, she had been eager to spend every minute like before with Aaron since she returned to Capital. After all, she had gotten used to such a life after having spent the last several months in this way.
But she didn't expect Marc to mess up her plan by suddenly choosing to come with her.
Since Marc was dating Rose, it seemed that Yolanda would become a hindrance if she continued to stay here. Besides, given Marc's desperate kiss with Rose just now, he must have been waiting for such a night when she wasn't at home.
So it took her little time to make a decision. But to prevent Aaron from thinking that she had been eager to live with him, she pretended to say in a helpless tone, "I have to move outside to leave Marc and Rose alone, so you'd better not give it a second thought."
Aaron smiled lightly. "Well, I see."
Then Yolanda took out a suitcase from the closet and was about to pack some usual clothes when Aaron stopped her. "Just pack some changes of underwear."
Yolanda thought Aaron was reminding her that she had some clothes in his villa, so she decided to follow his advice.
Then she pulled the drawer at the bottom and took out a bra. Suddenly, she seemed to realize something and immediately put it back before looking up at Aaron and saying, "What are you looking at? Turn around."
Aaron was so helpless. Actually, he had seen a thin black strap. He swallowed unconsciously and walked to the balcony. "I'll go outside for a cigarette."
Yolanda changed the suitcase for a small duffle bag to pack several changes of underwear and some private necessities into it. Then she walked around the room to pack the gift for Aaron, that empty bottle she brought from Darlington, and the silk stockings in the drawer of the bedside table into the bag.
In a word, she took everything related to Aaron with her.
After packing her suitcase, Yolanda knocked on the glass sliding door. "I've been ready."
Aaron snuffed the cigarette, walked inside, and picked up her bag. "Let's go." After taking several steps, he suddenly stopped and carried her in his arms.
Yolanda was slightly stunned, saying, "I can walk by myself since my calf doesn't hurt that much."
Aaron said, "Just pretend that your calf hurts."
Yolanda found Aaron so good at acting.
When they passed Marc and Rose, who seemed to be still quarreling about the previous topic in the living room, Aaron stopped. "We have to go now."
Somewhat guilty, Yolanda said to Marc, "Brother, I'll be back once I recover."
Marc gave her a light look, knowing that Aaron wouldn't let her go so easily once she left with him.
Marc also knew that Aaron happened to get this good chance which he must have been waiting for. It turned out that Aaron was indeed a doer who was decisive and quick enough to seize this chance to take Yolanda away without hesitation.
Anyway, Aaron would marry Yolanda sooner or later, so Marc never intended to always stop him and could only compromise at such a point. He only said, "Take good care of Yolanda."
"Of course."
Even when they had left the apartment, Yolanda was still confused in the car. "When exactly did my brother fall for your sister? Didn't they just meet for the first time in the Darlington's bar? How can they be so quick to..."
Thinking of that hot scene, Yolanda was too embarrassed to continue.
But Aaron just said calmly, "They're not quick."
Yolanda was puzzled.
"But we're too slow."

After being shocked for seconds, Yolanda failed to find a way to respond to him.
She thought, 'We're not slow at all, especially when I've chosen to live with you. Or are you even wishing to have a baby now?'
Yolanda snorted and looked away.
A while later, she deliberately lifted her injured leg. "You seem to owe me new jeans."
Aaron replied, "Alright."
Yolanda didn't expect him to be so agreeable. She stopped joking and then turned to look at him a while later as she thought of something. "I'm afraid grandma won't like it if you take me back all of a sudden without informing her?"
Aaron kept his eyes on the road and said lightly, "I don't have to inform anyone of it when I return to my own home."
Yolanda nodded. "It makes sense. But what if she doesn't like it?"
Aaron didn't seem to be bothered by this. Instead, he spoke of something else. "Grandma's seventieth birthday is coming next month. At that time, I'll tell her about our relationship."
This topic successfully distracted Yolanda. "Seventieth? It's a big day for grandma. Then what gift should I prepare for her? Is there anything she likes very much?"
So Yolanda spent the second half of the drive asking Aaron about Mary's seventieth birthday. She didn't realize anything was wrong until Aaron drove into the parking lot of a strange luxurious house.
"Wait. Aren't we going home?"
Aaron parked the car, pulled the parking brake, and turned to look at Yolanda. "We've arrived."
Yolanda was so shocked. Suddenly, she remembered Aaron having told her about buying a house. But since Marc didn't allow her to live with Aaron, she thought Aaron would give up.
She asked, "Are you serious?"
Aaron replied, "Of course."
This luxurious house was even considered Capital's landmark, and its price even rose to 1,7000 dollars per square meter. So the residents here were all very wealthy or powerful, which could ensure their safety well.
When they took the elevator to the house, Yolanda had been looking around this new residence.
The house was decorated quite simply in black, grey, and white colors, just in the same style as Aaron's bedroom in the Jensen's villa. Besides, the sleek lines of this house were typical of the simple style, which was Aaron's favourite.
After visiting the house, Yolanda asked, "Which one is my room?"
"There's only one bedroom."
Smiling, Yolanda rolled her eyes. "Are you kidding me by saying there's only one bedroom in such a large house about three hundred square meters? It's impossible!"
Aaron didn't explain and just headed inside, saying, "Come with me."
Curious about what trick he was playing, Yolanda followed him to a door.
Aaron opened the door. "Just have a look."
His mysterious tone confused Yolanda. The moment she walked inside and looked up, her expression suddenly froze on her face.
How she felt at that moment even defied description. What was in front of her eyes was so incredible and inconceivable. She tried to hold back her scream and found what was happening even more shocking than her brother's making out just now.
The room was full of various clothes, shoes, bags, jewelry, and even evening dresses. They consisted of all the latest designs of the top brands and were lined up according to different styles to form an extremely luxurious cloakroom, which was even several times larger than that one in her house before her father went bankrupt.
Greatly shocked, Yolanda was even at a loss for words for a long time. She walked inside and still couldn't believe it. "Are all these for me?"
Aaron leaned against the door. "Yes."
Yolanda thought, 'No wonder he was so agreeable when I asked him for new jeans. It turns out that he had gotten everything ready in this house.'
When Yolanda picked up a pair of shoes with stiletto heels at random from the shoe cabinet and tried them on, she was so surprised. "Why do you know my size?"
"Because I've spent three months with you. I've got everything ready for you except your bras," Aaron said.
Yolanda was instantly left speechless as he made it so explicit.
After putting back the shoes, Yolanda walked back and pursed her lips. Although she had tried to keep calm, she still failed to conceal her overwhelming happiness. "Why do you buy me so many clothes and bags all of a sudden?"
Aaron said, "Didn't you complain in Darlington that you had sold all the luxuries to start your business?"
Yolanda put her arms around his waist in a lovely way and looked up at him. "But I remember that you said you wouldn't pity me. Then what do you mean by buying me so many things now?"
With his head lowered for a moment, Aaron replied given what she said before, "Just in case I'm guilty about my previous mistake."
Yolanda didn't expect him to have realized the importance of making up for what he did before.
She was so touched and said, "That was just a joke. Don't take it seriously. Besides, I'm the one who should be guiltier about cheating you in the beginning."
Aaron kept quiet for only seconds before agreeing on her words. "Not at all. I won't mind if you want to make up for your mistake."
Realizing that she had fallen for his trick, Yolanda instantly said, "Forget what I said just now."
She was about to walk outside when Aaron held her in his arms and pressed her against the wall. "Have you forgotten what you said before? Do you need me to remind you?"
Yolanda didn't forget at all. She knew that what she had promised him was long overdue. But it remained to be proven that she wasn't having a tough time when she stayed with him before although she had been back in Capital for almost two months. Now the two of them had lived together, and it would only make things more difficult for her.
"Put me down." Yolanda tried to push Aaron away, but he didn't move and just tightened his grip as if he wouldn't let her go if she didn't keep her promise today.
Since all her efforts were in vain, Yolanda could only pretend to be hurt with a frown, groaning, "You're hurting my leg. It hurts."
Her light but lovely groan perfectly showed her shyness, which instantly overwhelmed Aaron.
Aaron put down Yolanda and subconsciously stretched out his hand to loosen his tie, only to find that he wasn't wearing a tie at all.
Despite his open collar, he still felt breathless. He stared at Yolanda for seconds and said, "Never talk to me in a tone like that."
Yolanda was confused and blinked innocently. "What's wrong?"
Aaron ignored her and said while walking outside, "Although the other bedrooms have been knocked into this cloakroom, there's a bed in the study. So I'll sleep in the study if you mind."
Yolanda followed him and thought about his words, wondering, 'Can I accept sleeping on the same bed with Aaron given that he has never forced me into bed with him?'
Although the two of them lived under the same roof, they had their respective rooms, which helped her keep him at a distance to some extent.
But if she was told to share the same bed with Aaron now, she didn't know if she could accept it. It was mainly because she wasn't ready for it after moving here all of a sudden.
But it seemed so ridiculous to sleep in their respective rooms when they were in a relationship. After all, they were old enough to sleep together.
As she was thinking, Aaron opened another door. "This is the bedroom."
After Yolanda walked in and looked around, she was so impressed with the design of such a luxurious bedroom. This large room boasted a wonderful view of the river through glass walls and enabled her to enjoy a grand sight of the river through a 270°C degree just by sleeping on the bed.
Yolanda thought, 'How beautiful it is!'
She instantly pictured her and Aaron sitting here, sipping wine, leaning against each other to enjoy the fascinating view on a sunny night when the breeze was blowing. She was looking forward to that moment so much.
Yolanda was very satisfied with the view and then looked around. When she saw the wide bed, she instantly walked over to lie on it.
The mattress was very comfortable, and the sheet was unexpectedly soft. The moment she lay down, she had the impulse to fall asleep.
Anyway, she liked the bedroom very much, whether about the decoration or the beautiful view.
What was bothering her was if she was willing to share the bedroom with Aaron. Or to put it bluntly, she wasn't sure she was ready to get into bed with Aaron.
Yolanda thought for seconds and then looked up. "I have a question for you, and you need to be honest."
Aaron looked at her and waited for her to continue.
She asked, "Will you be sexually excited if we sleep on the same bed?"
After being silent for a while, Aaron looked away and replied frankly and calmly, "I will even when we're not in bed."
