Chapter 16 Sweet Memories Are the Crueles

Chapter 16 Sweet Memories Are the Cruelest
It seemed that Timothy had suddenly disappeared from Queenie's life. He didn't pick her up every day, nor did he come to cook for her three meals every day. Just like the short conversation that night really ended their relationship, he returned to his own world, and she tried her best to fit into this new world. The perfume leaflet designed by Queenie had been revised one hundred times by the client's request. Finally, Nathanael said, "Just ignore that client. They will have to use it even if it's just a few words on it after the promotion started." Queenie listened to Nathanael. As expected, within a week, the first version of the design plan had been passed. Within half a month, Queenie's design could be seen at the shopping malls, subway stations, and bus stations' billboards. Queenie especially took a bus to look around, with a sense of accomplishment in her heart.
"It's not a big deal" Nathanael didn't think it was something worth so much attention. Suddenly, something occurred to him. He raised his head and said, "Queenie." Queenie turned around. Seeing that Kola had left, Nathanael asked, "Why haven't I seen Mr. Carter pick you up recently?"
"I haven't seen Noah bring ribs here recently!" Queenie replied. Nathanael nodded with an expression that showed that he understood. "I see."
What else could the reason be? Just like Nathanael and his father, Queenie and Timothy fell out. Although Nathanael cared about Timothy, he didn't want to ask too much. After all, it was Timothy's privacy. After he finished work, he went out. He had a project that needed to be shot on campus. He found his friend who worked in the school who promised to let him go to the school to take photos on weekend.
In fact, he didn't have to go to the school in person, but now few schools could rent a place for commercial purposes, so his friends had helped him find a lot of connections to deal with it. He must thank him in person anyway. By the way, he also wanted to take a look at the place. He went to the school at the downtown in the afternoon.
That school was the best school in Buena City. Many parents were willing to spend a lot to buy a house in the surrounding area in order to let their children go to this school. When Nathanael arrived at the school, it was just five o'clock in the evening. The school was over and there were few people in the school. Nathanael parked his car outside and registered at the gate before he was allowed into the school. Following the route his friend told him, he walked to a teaching building. His friend was there. "Ricky, this way."
"Denise." Nathanael hurried over and shook hands with him. "You don't come out to hang out with us since you're married. How long haven't we seen each other?"
"Well, my wife has just given birth to a baby. I go home to wash children's clothes every day after work. How can I have time to hang out? A married man is not as free as you!" said Denise.
"Do you mean you regret? I'll call your wife and tell her to let you out." When Nathanael pretended to make a phone call, Denise stopped him and said, "Stop it."
The two of them laughed and said, "Let's have a walk around our school and see where you are going to do your work. I'll report it to my supervisor."
"Okay. Let's have dinner together tonight. It's my treat," said Nathanael.
"No, No. you don't have to. Besides, I have to go home to take care of the child. If I go back one minute later, my wife will scold me."
"Okay, let's eat together when you and your wife are free."
"I really don't need it. It's not a big deal. If you want to have a meal with me, go to my house. Buy some food and I'll make dinner for you."
"Hmm, I thought you would let your wife cook for me."
"Come on, She is just a tiger who has just given birth to a baby. She will eat me up if I asked her to do things. I don't dare to do that." Nathanael laughed. He could tell that although Denise had been complaining, there was happiness and joy on his face. The two of them chatted while walking. Several young people came downstairs from the teaching building. When they saw Denise, they greeted him politely, "Hello, Mr. Hall."
"Hey, why are you so late? Go home and have dinner. There are classes at night." A serious look instantly appeared on Denise's face.
"Got it." The young people left, and Nathanael's eyes fell on a boy. The boy was dressed in black and white sportswear like everyone else, but he was very good-looking. He was the tallest among the four or five boys, gentle and fair-skinned. He was like the summer sunshine, so dazzling that people could recognize him at a glance. "Albert, you are in this school!" Albert also recognized Nathanael, who had had a meal with him. But he was not familiar with Nathanael, so he just smiled at Nathanael shyly. After greeting Nathanael, he ran away with his classmates. Nathanael turned around and looked in the direction he ran away. "Do you know Albert?" Denise asked
"Yes, I know his father."
"Oh, Professor Carter." Charlotte nodded and sighed, "Professor Carter, it's not easy for you to raise Albert up by yourself. Fortunately, this child is sensible and has good grades..."
"Wait, Professor Carter. He does all the work taking care of Albert." Nathanael frowned and asked, "Where's his wife?"
"I don't know. I heard that she died many years ago. Anyway, I heard from my colleagues that Albert didn't have a mother since he was a child and was brought up by Professor Carter alone." Nathanael tilted his head in confusion. His wife died many years ago? Wasn't that Queenie? No, the child's age didn't match. Did Timothy get divorced after his second wife gave birth to Albert? Or... Was the child adopted? Thinking of the affectionate look on Timothy's face when Nathanael was young, Nathanael suddenly felt that he had guessed the truth, but he didn't understand why Timothy wanted to push Queenie away. After visiting the school with this question in mind, Nathanael returned to the company and saw Timothy's car downstairs. Sitting in the car, Timothy looked at the entrance of the company in silence. Nathanael frowned and looked up at the light in the office upstairs. He guessed that Queenie should be still working. This was not the first time he had seen Timothy waiting for Queenie downstairs in the past half a month. He had pretended not to see Timothy several times before, but today he couldn't help but knock on the window. The car made a sound. It was Timothy who opened the car lock inside. Nathanael opened the door of the passenger seat and sat in. He handed one cup of coffee he had just bought to Timothy and asked, "Would you like some coffee?" Timothy shook his head and said, "I'm old. I can't fall asleep after drinking coffee." Nathanael smiled and took back his coffee cup. He could drink two cups by himself. After all, he might have to work late at night. "Are you waiting for Queenie again?" Nathanael asked. "No, I'm just here to have a look," replied Timothy.
"Mr. Carter, do you know?" Taking a sip of coffee, Nathanael raised his eyebrows and said, "When I was a child, I often watched TV dramas where men and women fell in love, but ended up breaking up because of misunderstandings. Every time I watched that kind of drama, I was anxious and wanted to go into the TV to explain for them. I said to them, "Hey, you really love each other, okay? Please get married, okay? Don't torture me anymore.
"Do you understand what I mean?" Nathanael turned to Timothy and asked. Timothy turned to look at him and smiled. "I understand, but I can't explain."
"Why can't you explain it?" Nathanael said in an anxious tone, "Just tell her the truth. You are so nice to her and you love her so much. Why can't you explain it?"
"Nathan, what kind of man do you think I am now?" Timothy asked. Nathanael looked at him and said, "Very good man. You are a successful, good-looking, and reliable man."
"You think too highly of me!" Timothy couldn't help laughing.
"Aren't you?"
"Yes, but not really." Timothy said, "Many people want to make friends with me or choose me as their tutor."
"But lovers are different." Timothy smiled bitterly. "I know I'm not Queenie's type now.
"When I was in college, I analyzed Queenie's preferences for men in order to make her fall in love with me.
"She likes young and strong bodies. She likes people who smile brightly but with a trace of shyness. She likes fair and tender hands, and soft and black hair, and she likes her boyfriend to talk sweetly to her. She likes it when her boyfriend can't do anything without her.
"I even know what kind of expression and words can ignite her passion and desire in an instant.
"Nathanael, in my eyes, I can see what she is thinking at a glance." Timothy sighed, "She loves Timothy, but she doesn't love me now."
"But you are Timothy. If you tell her that you have been waiting for her these years, she will definitely be moved!" Nathanael said.
"Yes, she will be moved and come back to me without hesitation," Timothy said as he closed her eyes. Nathanael asked curiously, "Isn't it good?"
"Good for me." Timothy smiled bitterly and said, "But for Queenie, it's unfair. Her life is like the rising sun, which has just begun, and I'm already the setting sun, leaving only the dim light. I don't want her to sacrifice her whole life for temporary gratitude." Timothy said, "A young girl like her should find someone she likes to be with."
"Mr. Carter, I think you should be selfish." Nathanael said, "Don't always think for her."
"I'm just being selfish!" Timothy said softly, "I'm so bad now. I don't want her to like me now. I want her to love the one in her memory forever." Nathanael lowered his head, took a sip of coffee, and said in a low voice, "For me, Mr. Carter is always the best, the most perfect." Timothy turned to look at him. Nathanael smiled at him and said, "I believe Queenie thinks the same way because... Mr. Carter is a good man. No one can forget what you have experienced." Looking at Nathanael, Timothy seemed to think of the young child when Nathanael was young. Every time Timothy left, Nathanael would look at him from a distance. His eyes flashed with heartbreaking nostalgia and reluctance, like a child left alone at home, hoping that the adults could come back early next time. Timothy said in a low voice, "I haven't apologized to you, because I suddenly cut off contact with you that year..."
"It doesn't matter, Mr. Carter. You have done enough for me." Nathanael chuckled, "I just hope you can live a good life."
Then he took the two cups of coffee with him and got off the car. Looking at Nathanael's back, Timothy smiled. He was gratified that the little boy who was angry and crying with tears had grown into such a warm and powerful man. When Nathanael returned to his office, he saw that the lights in the company building were still on. It seemed that everyone had been used to working overtime. Even Queenie got used to it and was working on a design drawing on the computer. Nathanael walked to Queenie's desk and knocked on it. Seeing that she was looking up at him with tired eyes, he beckoned her to follow her into the office. Queenie put away her work and followed him. With hands in his pockets, Nathanael closed his eyes and thought that he could finally do what he had wanted to do when he was a child. He didn't care what the reason was. He just couldn't allow any misunderstanding between them! It was better to meddle in their business, regardless of Timothy's opinion. He didn't want them to waste any more time. He wanted them to get married now! Oh, no, it should be a remarriage. Hearing Nathanael's words, Queenie opened her eyes wide in surprise. Then she turned around and rushed out of the office. She rushed downstairs, but she didn't find Timothy's car. She took out her phone and called him. Listening to the beeping, she anxiously ran on the road and looked around, trying to find Timothy. After a while, Timothy answered the phone.
"Hello." Queenie stopped running, took a deep breath, stood straight, held the phone tightly, and shouted, "Timothy, I'll give you ten minutes. Show up in front of me quickly, or you'll never see me again!" Hearing Queenie's exasperated cry on the phone, Timothy couldn't help laughing. He remembered that when they just fell in love, they also quarreled. Sometimes they had different opinions about where to go on a date, sometimes they would quarrel because he talked a little more with other girls, and sometimes they would quarrel because he didn't find that she was dressed in a pretty way. But every time they quarreled, he didn't pay much attention to it. He just did his things. When he was alone in the dormitory, she would think about their quarrel and get angrier. Then she could not help but call him angrily and ask him to appear as soon as possible.
She said that he wouldn't see her again if he didn't show up within the required time. In fact, she missed him and hoped that he could find her as soon as possible. But once, Queenie's roar was so loud that Timothy's roommates heard it. After he hung up the phone, his roommates all came over and said, "Timothy, you can't do this. You can just listen to everything your girlfriend says!"
"How dare she talk to you like that?"
"That's right. She is so rude. Only you can tolerate her."
"Timothy, you can't listen to your girlfriend all the time when you are in love. If she gets used to it, it will make you look so small in front of her."
"Don't go and see what she can do to you? Can she break up with you?"
"That's right. Don't go. A man must live with dignity!" The coat that Timothy had just picked up was taken away by his roommates. The three roommates were older than him, and they usually took care of him as if he was their younger brother. This time, they also wanted to support their younger brother. They didn't want Timothy to get bullied by his girlfriend! Timothy looked at the three roommates in embarrassment. The three roommates blocked his way and said, "Listen to me, Timothy. Leave her alone. Let's see what she will do!" Timothy was persuaded to sit down and continue to write his thesis. He wrote and looked at his phone from time to time. It was almost ten minutes, but his phone didn't ring at all. Timothy couldn't focus any longer. Although he stared at the computer, her mind went blank.
Ten minutes later, the phone still didn't ring. He stood up and took his coat.
One of her roommates asked, "Timothy, what are you doing?" Timothy smiled awkwardly. "Nothing."
Ten minutes later, there was still no phone call. Timothy stood up, grabbed his coat, and said, "Hey, I'm a big man, I don't want a cold war. Just let me go if she asks me to. It's not far."
"Timothy, look at you. You won't be able to win all your life." His roommates couldn't help but sigh. It was really hard to for them teach him.
"It doesn't matter. It's good to lose. I just want to lie down." Timothy said shyly. The people in the dormitory burst into laughter and said, "Timothy is really different after he has a girlfriend."
"It's not what you think," Timothy said awkwardly.
"We understand. But Timothy, you can slack off in everything, but not when you lie down in bed with her."
"That's right. How can you just lie down?" With a blush on his face, Timothy quickly changed his clothes and strode to the door of the dormitory. As soon as he opened the door, he saw Queenie rush in, quickly closed the door, and locked it. Then she patted her chest and gasped, "It's so dangerous. I was almost caught."
The boys who didn't wear clothes in the dormitory were frightened to look for clothes quickly. They looked for clothes and hid things that they didn't want girls to see.
"Why are you here?" Timothy asked in surprise.
"Why don't you come?" Queenie said as if she should be here. Looking at the mess behind her, she apologized to Timothy's classmates in a hurry, "I'm sorry to bother you."
Timothy's classmates only wore short pants. Timothy quickly covered her eyes with his hands. Queenie, who was wearing a sleeveless dress, was pulled into his arms with a red face.
"Don't look around," said Timothy.
"No, I won't." Queenie stood on tiptoe and whispered in his ear, "You are cuter than them." Timothy was angry and happy. He couldn't help but raise his hand and knock on her head. "Don't look around."

After the boys in the dormitory put on their clothes, they looked at Queenie and found that she was really beautiful. She was curled up in Timothy's arms, and her hair was dyed warm yellow, which made her skin more fair and smooth. Her eyes were clear. She was such a lovely girl. She was not like the girl who had let out a terrible roar on the phone just now at all. They seldom saw such a pretty face in their sci and tech school. No wonder Timothy was so good to her. The head of the dormitory cleared a seat and said to Queenie, "Come on. Sit here. It's the first time that a girl has come to our dormitory." Queenie smiled. "Thank you!"
"We're going to have dinner. You guys can have a chat. Timothy, don't lose your temper."
"Yes, you should be good to your girlfriend!"
"How can you not cherish such a beautiful girlfriend?" Speechless, Timothy looked at his roommates who were patting him on the shoulder and leaving one after another. They were the ones who asked him to get back his dignity as a man, and now they were the ones who betrayed him. Timothy pursed his lips and watched the door being closed. No one stayed to explain for him. Timothy turned to look at Queenie, who was raising her eyebrows and seemed to say, "You're done." Queenie took two steps back silently and asked, "How about we have dinner together?"
"No."
"Yogurt?" Timothy took out a box of yogurt from the cabinet and handed it to her.
"No." Timothy was a little angry, too. He put the yogurt on the table hard and asked, "Then what do you want to do?" Queenie snorted and suddenly pounced on him. She held his hands and pinched them while tickling him. "I asked you to come, but you didn't go?"
"Stop, stop it." Timothy was afraid of that the most. Queenie tickled him but he couldn't avoid it. Finally, he tripped over the bed and fell on the single bed in the dormitory with Queenie in his arms. Timothy grabbed Queenie's hand and said in a hurry, "Get up."
"No."
"Get up!" Timothy was so anxious that his voice became fierce. Queenie didn't dare to continue when she saw his angry face. She sat up from the bed and stood aside, feeling a little sad. She took the initiative to get close to him, but he seemed to dislike her. At the thought of this, Queenie wanted to cry. She turned her head in anger and stopped talking. Timothy pulled her hand, but she shook it off and turned around to wipe away her tears. Timothy held her hand again and dragged her inside. Then he cleared his throat and pointed at a single bed in front of her. "Come and sit."
"What?" Queenie was still angry and didn't understand what he meant.
"This is my bed. You just sat in my dorm mate's bed. His bed is dirty. He hasn't changed the bed sheet for months. " Pointing at his clean and tidy bed, whose sheets had been changed every week, Timothy said, "Do you want to play on my bed..."
After saying that, he saw that Queenie's face turned red, and so did he. He said dully, "I didn't mean that." Looking at the shy look on Timothy, Queenie couldn't help but chuckle. She grabbed Timothy's hand and pressed her against him. "That's what you mean."
"No..."
"Exactly."
"Okay." Now that she said so, he wouldn't deny. Queenie was satisfied and said, "Kiss me."
Timothy was nervous.
"Hurry up." Timothy closed his eyes and slowly kissed the girl in front of him with a red face. The sweetness spread from his lips to his heart and made his soul tremble. On the narrow single bed, the two hugged each other tightly. The electric fan on the ceiling of the dormitory was blowing, and the white bed hangings were blown. The books on the desk were turning the pages. Timothy held the girl in his arms tightly, feeling that he was about to be drowned in this affectionate and passionate kiss.
In the hot summer, he was pressed on his bed by the girl and kissed by her over and over again. She gently kissed him and sweetly whispered in his ear, saying that she would never be so rude to him in the future. She said that she let him come to her in a few minutes because she was too afraid of losing him. She also missed him too much. She wanted to see him, kiss him and hug him as soon as possible. She said, "Timothy, I love you. I love you so much." Hearing that, Timothy felt that he almost melted in that hot and noisy summer. No, not almost. He had already melted into the water in her hand and the mud in her hand. She could shape him into whatever she wanted.
The dark night sky was lit up by the lights of thousands of households. A black car was parked beside the busy lane, and the middle-aged man in the car sat on the driver's seat absentmindedly. He seemed to be thinking about something. A smile appeared at the corners of his mouth, with a trace of love and bitterness. The phone in his car was on and off all the time. He seemed to be hesitating, but finally, he picked up the phone. The person on the other end of the phone asked sadly, "Timothy, are you really not coming to see me?" Instantly, Timothy's eyes turned red. He cleared his throat and said in a low voice, "I'm coming."
How could he not go to see her? He'd been looking for her for twenty-three years. How could he not look for you when he finally knew where she was? If he had wings, he would fly to her. Timothy hung up the phone and turned around. The car drove into the endless night. After turning several turns, he finally saw Queenie standing by the roadside. The car lights shone on Queenie. She squinted slightly and walked towards the lights. He opened the door and got out of the car. He stood beside the car, holding his hands nervously, and looked at her. He saw her walking towards him slowly as in his memory. Queenie stood in front of him, looked up at him, and asked, "You don't have a wife?"
"No," said Timothy.
"Then why did you say you have?"
"I didn't say I have."
"You make me misunderstand you."
"Yes."
"Why?" Timothy didn't respond. Queenie closed her eyes hard to suppress her anger and asked in a low voice, "Did you deliberately make me misunderstand you? Don't you want to get back together with me?"
"Yes" Timothy looked up at her and said, "I don't want to be with you again."
"Why?" Queenie asked angrily.
"I just feel that we are not right for each other now," Timothy replied calmly.
"Which part?"
"All." Queenie laughed angrily, "What? You're rich and famous now, and you don't like me anymore?"
"If you say so, I have to ask you." There was also a trace of displeasure in Timothy's eyes. "On the first day you came back, what were you thinking about when you first saw me?"
"Nothing," said Queenie.
"Liar! I know what you are thinking. Who is this man? Why is he so old? You are even a little afraid of me, aren't you?"
"No, I just feel a little strange."
"Then what do you think you knew I had a wife?"
"What else can I think? Of course, I'm angry!"
"And then? Are you relieved at the same time? You think it's good that I have a wife, or you don't know how to stay with me, right?" Queenie felt guilty and wronged, "I... I didn't!"
"You have," Timothy looked at her and said.
"Can you read my mind? Why are you so sure?" Queenie said angrily. Timothy smiled. "Maybe!"
"I don't want to talk nonsense with you. I just want to ask you. Do you still like me?" Queenie asked anxiously.
"You should answer this question," said Timothy.
"I..." Queenie was about to answer but was stopped by Timothy. "Queenie, I hope you can think it over before answering. As you know, I only want full marks for my exam and full marks for love.
"If your love for me is just temporary gratitude and dependence, I'm sorry, I won't accept it."
"Bullshit! You weren't so hard to get when you were twenty!" Queenie stamped her feet in anger.
"Silly girl, I took you to finish love test when you were twenty years old. Now, even I can't answer it myself. How can I teach you?" thought Timothy. Queenie and Timothy parted in discord. Queenie was really depressed. She felt that there was no obstacle between her and Timothy, but the biggest obstacle was Timothy himself. This man completely denied his feelings for her and refused to get back together with her! She was so angry that she even forgot to ask where her son came from!
"Screw the full marks!" She thought even if her love for him didn't get full marks, she still had high grades. His requirement was so demanding! She was so angry that she didn't fall asleep all night. When Nathanael passed by Queenie, he knocked on her desk. When she woke up, he said, "Hey, even if you have something to do Mr. Carter's, you can't sleep at work, can you?"
"I'm sorry." Queenie sat up slowly and saw that she was surrounded by people and everyone had begun to work. Queenie hurriedly apologized, "I won't do it again."
"You didn't sleep well last night. Look at your dark circles!" With a tinge of pity in his eyes, Nathanael said, "Wash your face and come to my office." Looking at Queenie's depressed face, Nathanael couldn't help but ask, "You haven't gotten back together yet?"
"Why are you so gossipy?" Queenie couldn't help complaining.
"I just care about Mr. Carter," said Nathanael. Queenie looked at him with a gloomy face and said, "Your Mr. Carter refused me and said that we were not suitable for each other." Nathanael raised his eyebrows. He glanced at her and said, "To be honest, if it weren't for your past, you two are really not good for each other now. This is not only about your age, but also the social status and horizon. There is a gap between you two. If you two get together on impulse, then there will be all kinds of problems and conflicts. In the end, you will regret it. It will certainly be very miserable, and even your previous love for each other will change. Mr. Carter is right to be cautious."
"I think he's just worried about bullshit. What can be wrong? I'll listen to him in the future, okay?" said Queenie.
"You see, this is not right in the first place. Can a person listen to another person all the life?" Nathanael said, "It's not love. It's to pay someone back, to please someone. How could a person like Mr. Carter want you to be act like that? He wants you to be happy!" Queenie looked depressed. Taking a look at her, Nathanael continued, "in fact, the reason why you want to get back together with Mr. Carter now is that Mr. Carter looks not bad now. But my father, no, that man also went to see my mother. But when he saw that my mother remarried and gave birth to two children and looked so old now, he turned around and left without saying anything."
"By the way," Nathanael asked curiously, "If Mr. Carter becomes as fat as Mr. Bell, will you still miss him?" Hearing his question, Queenie thought for a while. When she was about to answer, Nathanael raised his hand and said, "I don't want to hear the answer."
"Why do you ask me if you don't want to hear the answer?"
"If you say no, I will think you are cold. But if you say yes, I will think you are hypocritical, so there is no need."
"There's no need and you still asked. You are so boring!" Queenie glared at him angrily and went out with the document he gave her. Nathanael touched his chin and complained, "So rude. How could Mr. Carter like her when he was young?" Queenie returned to her seat and still couldn't calm down. Nathanael's question was really annoying. He thought she was shallow. But she couldn't help think. What if Timothy look like Anthony now?
At this moment, Anthony came over to her with his fat face. "Queenie, are you used to your job here?"
"I'm good," Queenie said hurriedly.
"If you are not used to it, just tell me!" Anthony said with a smile.
"Okay, okay." Queenie looked at Anthony's big belly. He touched his bald head, teased with the beautiful girls in the office and then leaned over. "Hey, I talked about you with my classmates in Buena City last time. They wanted to have a meal together. Are you free tonight? Let's get together?" Queenie wanted to refuse, but when she saw Anthony's chubby face, she agreed, "Okay!" Seeing that Queenie agreed, Anthony left happily. Queenie silently bit her thumb and thought, "If Timothy looks like Anthony, then... That's really not very... I can't accept that. No, no, no, it's important to know more about him. Inner beauty is also very important..." Queenie turned to look at Nathanael's office, only to see that Nathanael was looking at her with a smile. Queenie raised her fist at him. "You little bastard! Why do you have to mention Mr. Bell? You are so annoying!" thought she.
After work, Queenie directly took Anthony's car to the restaurant where they had booked seats. There were already five schoolmates in the deluxe room, including men and women. Queenie was not very familiar with them, and none of them were in her class. Most of them came to have a gathering because they wanted to welcome her back. After they sat down, they talked a lot. They talked about the college, the current work, more about their families, children, and even where their children's class.
During the dinner, the atmosphere was great. Queenie drank too much and looked at Anthony blankly. She imagined that Anthony was Timothy and Anthony who had waited for her for twenty-three years. She imagined Anthony said to her, "Queenie, you're finally back. Over the years, I have been thinking that maybe you will come back at dawn." Queenie's heart sank. She gulped down a large glass of wine, letting the spicy taste resist the dull pain from the bottom of her soul.
Seeing that Queenie was good at drinking, the schoolmates cheered up. After the meal, Queenie almost couldn't walk anymore. Anthony helped her up and walked out of the restaurant. Queenie said, "Anthony, you're good too. Not bad! Lose weight! I can do it!"
"For me, for me, can you lose weight?" Queenie held Anthony's arm and asked. Anthony was confused, but he didn't want to argue with a drunkard. "I will lose weight for you."
"Look at you. You used to be a handsome man. Look at you, you are fat now. You can't do this!"
"Did I gain weight by eating your stuff?" Anthony was displeased. Queenie had been complaining that he was fat the whole night, but his wife never complained! In a daze, Queenie was supported by Anthony at the entrance of the restaurant. Anthony's driver hadn't arrived yet, and he was calling him. The two of them looked quite intimate, one holding the other and leaning against each other. This was what Timothy saw when he got out of the car. His eyes were cold. He walked forward and pulled Queenie over. Anthony was still holding Queenie's arm. Seeing that someone was grabbing her arm, he held her arm tightly and asked, "Hey, hey, who are you?"
"Her guardian." As Timothy spoke, he pulled Queenie into his arms.
"Guardian? Queenie, Queenie, who is he?" Queenie looked up drunkenly and smiled, "My husband, no, my ex husband.
"Timothy, why do you divorce me? I like you so much. Don't leave me!" Queenie cried in Timothy's arms. Anthony figured about what was going on between the two, so he left them in a hurry. Timothy helped Queenie get into her car. Like an octopus, Queenie clung to him and began to touched him with her hands. Timothy held her hand tightly and said, "Don't be naughty."
"Timothy, Timothy, don't be mad at me. I don't think you are old. I've thought about it for a whole day. I've thought it through just now. Even if you become Anthony, I still like you. I'm not a shallow person. I don't just care about your appearance. I have a heart. I can feel your love for me. I can feel it!" Queenie looked at him with her beautiful big eyes and said pitifully.
"I don't think you are shallow." Timothy rubbed her head and said, "It's my fault."
"You are so kind. There is no one better than you in the world." As Queenie spoke, she pulled her hands out and wrapped her arms around his neck. "You are the best. Who else can be better than you?" Queenie murmured. Then she leaned against Timothy's chest and fell asleep. Timothy lowered his eyes and looked at her. Her skin was fair and smooth, and she was like a princess in a fairy tale when she was asleep. She was beautiful and bright, making people want to kiss her uncontrollably. Timothy raised his hand and gently touched her lips with his fingertips. He wanted to kiss her just like how much he wanted back then. Timothy knew that he would almost give up. At that time, he let Queenie misunderstand that he had a wife in order to build a firewall between them, so that she could not rush to him regardless of anything. In that case, he wouldn't be able to resist her at all.
Now that the firewall was broken, and he seemed to have no choice but to surrender.
But he really couldn't. his life was like the setting sun, leaving only the last afterglow, while she was the sun at noon, so vigorous and dazzling.
